Have you ever searched “premature ejaculation treatment” on the web? If so, you would come across a wide array of information. Spanning from medications, creams, techniques, and exercises.

Premature Ejaculation   =    PE

There are many medical treatment options for premature ejaculation (PE)...but I imagine you are wondering - 'do they help at all?'

With so many options, how do you know where to start? How do you decide which method is best for you? Most importantly, how do you know what’s legit and what’s bogus?

I am a Sex Coach that specializes in male performance struggles

It’s so frustrating! I know!!!

The internet is a hodgepodge of information in regard to premature ejaculation treatment. This information is often unhelpful, and sometime even harmful. In fact, some things I’ve come across will make the issue worse.

What you may not know is that many of these theories come from people who did not take a large enough sample size to make their findings legitimate. Often, treatments are coming from people who have not even directly with someone who ejaculates quickly.

Through my practice, I have helped countless men treat this struggle. Below, I am going to address some of the most common premature ejaculation treatment questions.

We will explore the medical model options, as well as, how I treat clients to overcome premature ejaculation naturally.

Starting with the basics:

1. What causes early ejaculation?

The main cause of premature ejaculation is psychological.  Meaning, there is nothing (typically) physically wrong with the body that is keeping you from being able to last longer sexually.

Men who ejaculate quickly are often experiencing anxiety around arousal. Similarly, these struggles could lead to performance-related anxiety, stress, relationship issues, and even depression.

[cta-1]

Physical medical causes are relatively unlikely. If you are concerned about any health issues, see a licensed medical doctor to rule out any such factors. Some potential physical causes of premature ejaculation are diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid problems, or prostate disease.

For instance, you can track your anxiety by noticing the experience inside your body before arousal, during arousal, and after you orgasm. I call this tracking your “sexual arch.” To track your sexual arch, you want to pay attention to your mood, emotions, and the sensations inside your body during arousal.

In conclusion, if you are ejaculating quickly, mindfully track your body during your erotic experiences. You will most likely notice that you are tightening, clenching, or holding in your body.

It is completely possibly to overcome this struggle.

2. What is the main cause of premature ejaculation?

The main cause of premature ejaculation is a combination psychological and physiological. Men who ejaculate quickly, typically experience anxiety with sexual arousal.

For instance, as your body increases in arousal level, your anxiety increases with it.

You can track your anxiety by noticing the experience inside your body before arousal, during arousal, and after you orgasm. This is referred to as tracking your “sexual arch.” Therefore, you’ll want to pay attention to your mood, emotions, and the sensations inside your body.

If you are ejaculating quickly, mindfully track your body during your erotic experiences. You will most likely notice that you are tightening, clenching, or holding in your body.

3. How do I last longer before coming?

The best way to last longer is to overcome your anxiety with arousal. The 5 Step Strategy is a natural treatment method that will help you gain full control over your orgasm:

The 5 Step Strategy:

1.Breath

2.Anal breath

3.Arousal and anxiety curve

4.Sweet spot

5.Spreading through body

Mastering the 5 Step Strategy will help you overcome early ejaculation for good. However, it will most likely take some time.

If you need some quick advices for tonight, here are some options:

  1. Take deep breaths from start to finish. This can help to reduce your anxiety.
  2. Try sexual positions other than missionary (you on top). Missionary is the most difficult position to maintain control. Many men report more control with her on top, spooning and from behind. Standing can also be good position for some men.
  3. Masturbate about 2 hours before your adventures.
  4. Use a thicker condom.
  5. Improve Your Sexual Communication Skills: share with your partner that you are worried about your performance and ask if you can take your time getting into the sex act.
  6. Help her orgasm first before you move into anything that might make you orgasm.
  7. Take your time and enjoy every moment. Try not to over focus on your performance. Instead, explore the experience of pleasure with your partner.

4. How do you stop premature ejaculation fast?

The most common behavioral technique for ejaculation control is the start and stop method. This is when you or your partner stimulate your penis until you feel like you're going to have an orgasm. Stop the stimulation for about 30 seconds or until the feeling passes.

I do not recommend the start and stop method for my clients.  While it can technically help you last longer, it does not help teach the body how to ease into arousal. Above all, learning how to relax into arousal is the most important part of controlling ejaculation.

To stop premature ejaculation fast, you need to learn the 5 Step Strategy:

1.Connect to Breath

2.Learn Anal breath

3.Track Arousal and anxiety curve

4.Stay within the sweet spot

5.Spreading sensations through body

The best way to learn this method is through my Premature Ejaculation Mastery Video Course.

5. Is premature ejaculation treatable?

Although many men are embarrassed to reveal that they experience early ejaculation, premature ejaculation is a common and treatable condition.

Counseling, sexual techniques, body awareness exercises, and medication can help you learn how to control ejaculation. Often, a combination of counseling and learning new ways of relating to your erotic self will help improve how long you last in bed.

The overwhelming shame of coming quickly can keep people from reaching out for help. But overcoming premature ejaculation is possible.

Some men also choose to go the medical model route and do gain control from prescription drugs and creams.

6. Is there any cure for premature ejaculation?

The cure for premature ejaculation is counseling, sexual techniques, body awareness exercises, and sometimes medication. Often, a combination of counseling and learning new ways of relating to your erotic self will improve how long you last in bed.

It's totally possible to overcome this struggle.

7. Is it possible to cure premature ejaculation permanently?

Yes, it is possible to cure premature ejaculation permanently. Unfortunately, the shame and embarrassment of coming quickly can keep people from seeking help. In other words, even though curing yourself from premature ejaculation is possible, many people do not seek treatment.

8. Is premature ejaculation permanent?

Premature ejaculation is not permanent, and is treatable. Often, the shame and embarrassment of coming too quickly will keep men from reaching out for help. There are various medical treatment, as well as behavior therapy, skill building, and body awareness exercises that will help a man learn how to control his ejaculation.

For many men, learning to gain control will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 1+ year.

Think of learning to control ejaculation similar to learning to play an instrument. For instance, you would not expect to play the piano one time and feel proficient. The same is true for learning how to explore arousal and feel in control of your orgasm.

Learning to control takes dedication, time, and effort, therefore some men give up too early on their attempts to make a change. Above all, it is important to have the right state of mind and the proper tools and skills to learn how to relate with your body in a different way.

9. What are the effects of premature ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation impacts your psychological well-being, quality of life, and sexual relationships.  Premature ejaculation has been associated with a range of negative psychological effects, including anxiety, depression, and distress in men as well as their partners.

I know how shameful, uncomfortable and disappointed you feel after orgasming faster than you wanted. It can be confusing when your body let's you down.

For many of my clients, this can translate as lower self-confidence, putting their sexual needs aside, turning away from intimate connections or dating, and basically an overall lack of excitement.

10. What is the natural cure for premature ejaculation?

The natural cure for premature ejaculation is learning how to build arousal inside your body while reducing your anxiety levels.

To learn control naturally, you will need to be patient and open as your body learns new skills. If you are orgasming more quickly than you would like, you may have developed unhealthy masturbation practices. Learning the proper skills and changing your patterns in masturbation will help you last longer, for instance.

The 5 Step Strategy is the best natural treatment for overcoming premature ejaculation:

1.Connect to Breath

2.Learn Anal breath

3.Track Arousal and anxiety curve

4.Stay within the sweet spot

5.Spreading sensations through body

11. What can doctors prescribe for premature ejaculation?

Several medical treatments may help men who have premature ejaculation. Some antidepressants seem to help delay ejaculation, including antidepressants called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Your doctor may prescribe one of these medicines alone or in combination with Sildenafil (Viagra).

Viagra, viagra, viagra....do you know the history of the little blue pill?

12. Is there a drug for premature ejaculation?

Currently, the most often prescribed drug treatment for premature ejaculation is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). In 1994, the first study of SSRIs in men with premature ejaculation demonstrated a delaying effect with paroxetine (Paxil). This delaying of orgasm revolutionized the medical treatment of premature ejaculation.

An SSRI specifically designed to treat premature ejaculation, known as dapoxetine (Priligy), has now been licensed in the UK. Local NHS authorities can choose to prescribe it on the NHS.

Dapoxetine acts much faster than the SSRIs mentioned above and can be used "on demand." You will normally be advised to take it between one and three hours before sex, but not more than once a day.

Your response to the treatment will then be reviewed after four weeks (or after six doses), and again every six months.

Dapaoxetine

Dapoxetine isn't suitable for all men diagnosed with premature ejaculation. For example, it is not recommended for some men with heart, kidney, and liver problems. It can also interact with other medications, such as other antidepressants.

Common side effects include:

  • headaches
  • dizziness
  • feeling sick

Creams and Sprays for Premature Ejaculation Treatment

When you search “premature ejaculation treatment,” you will come across some treatment advice from the Mayo Clinic. They talk about creams and sprays that contain numbing agents or anesthetic treatments.  The most common creams are benzocaine, lidocaine or prilocaine. These products are applied to the penis 10 to 15 minutes before sex to reduce sensation, which can help to delay ejaculation.

There are a few major side side effects that have been associated with these creams and sprays. For example, they can lower libido and create temporary sensitivity loss. If you are not using a condom, that includes sensation loss for your partner as well. That’s because these products are designed to reduce sensitivity, which can theoretically help you last longer.

KY

The well-known company KY contacted me a few years ago to interview me about premature ejaculation methods. They needed advice for marketing (of course.) What they were most curious about was the state of mind that men seeking premature ejaculation treatment were in when they entered my room. At the end of the meeting, they shared what product they were going to be launching. It was a cream with lidocaine in it. Basically, they wanted to know “would I recommend this product to my clients?” My firm answer was “No.”

I do not recommend these numbing products to my clients. The analogy here would be like putting a bandaid on an injury that needs stitches. Numbing the area, so you can not feel the sensitivity is not something I believe in.

Basically, my method of helping men overcome early ejaculation is about learning how to allow pleasure into the body - not numbing it out.

13. What is the best medication for premature ejaculation?

Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the most common medications used for treating premature ejaculation. The most common SSRIs are:

  • Sertraline.
  • Paroxetine.
  • Fluoxetine.
  • Citalopram.
  • Dapoxetine.

14. Which is best medicine for premature ejaculation?

Are pills the right premature ejaculation treatment option for you?

I often say no for my clients. It is best to learn how to engage with arousal from natural methods.

For premature ejaculation medication treatments, you will find creams, sprays that contain numbing agents or anesthetic treatments, and medication.  The most common creams are benzocaine, lidocaine, or prilocaine. These products are applied to the penis 10 to 15 minutes before sex to reduce sensation, which can help to delay ejaculation.

I do not recommend numbing sprays or cream products to my clients. The analogy here would be like putting a bandaid on an injury that needs stitches. I do not believe in numbing the area so you can not feel your body. In other words, the treatment method of helping men overcome early ejaculation is all about learning how to allow pleasure into the body - not numbing it out.

15. Can I take Viagra for premature ejaculation?

Sildenafil (Viagra) is used to treat erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction is when a man has difficulty obtaining or maintaining erections. ED drugs increase blood flow in the body, especially to the penis following sexual arousal. The increase in blood flow can help to create an easier erection. However, they do not inhibit ejaculation. So ED medications are not often prescribed for premature ejaculation alone.

16. Can Viagra prevent premature ejaculation?

No, Viagra (Sildenafil) does not inhibit ejaculation, so it would not be prescribed on its own for men experiencing premature ejaculation. Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction (difficulty obtaining or maintaining erections). In conclusion, these drugs increase blood flow to the penis following sexual arousal, helping to produce an erection.

17. Does Viagra make you hard after ejaculation?

Viagra can help to maintain the erection after ejaculation and often reduces the refractory time before a second erection can be obtained.

Deciding to take over the counter medication is a decision that you should only make with your doctor. In conclusion, if you are considering viagra, make an appointment with your primary care physician to make sure this is the proper option for you.

18. Does Viagra make you last longer before ejaculation?

No, Viagra only works for erectile dysfunction. If you lose your erection too quickly, then Viagra can help you to stay harder for longer in bed. However, it won't make you last longer if you ejaculate to early (premature ejaculation).

19. How do you stop premature ejaculation fast?

The most common behavioral technique for ejaculation control is the start and stop method. This is when you or your partner stimulate your penis until you feel like you're going to have an orgasm. Stop the arousal for about 30 seconds or until the feeling passes.

[cta-1]

The stop and start method is not recommended because it does not teach the body how to ease into arousal. Learning how to relax into arousal is the most important part of controlling ejaculation.

To stop premature ejaculation fast, you need to learn the 5 Step Strategy:

1.Breath

2.Anal breath

3.Arousal and anxiety curve

4.Sweet spot

5.Spreading through body

20. How can I delay my ejaculation with pills?

Some men with premature ejaculation may benefit from selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). For some people, SSRIs have the effect of delaying ejaculation. In some cases, a doctor may also prescribe performance enhancer drugs called phosphodiesterase inhibitors. Some phosphodiesterase inhibitors are sildenafil (Viagra), vardenafil (Levitra), and tadalafil (Cialis). You should only use one drug at a time, preferably at a low dose.

21. Does Viagra delay climax?

Viagra is not typically prescribed for many men with early ejaculation. Viagra helps to maintain the erection, even after ejaculation. It will also reduce the refractory time before a second erection can be obtained. These medications may be combined with SSRIs (antidepressant medication that have the side effect of delaying ejaculation in some people) and various creams aimed at reducing sensitivity.

22. How can I last longer in bed?

Most importantly, to last longer in bed, you’ll want to follow the 5 Step Strategy:

1. Learn the Breath for ejaculation control

2. Connect to your anal breath

3. Gain awareness of your arousal and anxiety curve

4. Understand how to stay in the sweet spot in your arousal curve

5. Allow the erotic energy to spread throughout the body

Learning the 5 Step Strategy can take some time, so here are some quick tips while you are learning the method:

  • Masturbate an hour or two before having sex.
  • Use a thicker condom to help decrease sensation.
  • Remember to take full, deep breaths. This will help the body to relax and briefly shut down the ejaculatory reflex (an automatic reflex of the body during which ejaculation occurs).
  • The best sexual position is to have your partner on top while you focus on relaxing your whole body.

23. How long should a man last before ejaculation?

A recent survey from sex therapists how long sex “should” last suggested that an “adequate” intercourse session lasts anywhere from 3 to 7 minutes, while a “desirable” one lasts 7 to 13 minutes.

Instead of focusing on how long you last, I encourage clients to focus on how much control they feel. Overall, you want to feel control over your body vs being able to last a specific amount of time.

24. How do you stop ejaculating permanently?

There is no way for a man to stop himself permanently from ejaculating. To learn how to control your ejaculation, you will need to learn body-based methods that help you relate more directly with your arousal. In addition, once you are able to relax fully while you are aroused, your body will allow you to feel less anxious and more in control.

25. Does premature ejaculation affect sperm count?

PE does not affect sperm count. If a man is ejaculating before penetration, it could impact a couple’s ability to become pregnant. If this is the case, a doctor may use treatments or medications to delay ejaculation, refer to a counselor, or refer the couple to a fertility specialist.

26. How often should a man release sperm?

Orgasming is part of a healthy lifestyle. It is important to feed your body the right nutrients, exercise your body with healthy movement and also allow your erotic energy to flow.

People are confused or misunderstand what is healthy when it comes sex. One of the areas people are often confused about is how often should a man release sperm/orgasm?

It is well within normal to orgasm between 3 times a day to one time per week. When it come to what is normal for male orgasm, it is more important to consider a few important factors.

How often people “want” or “need” to release sperm varies depending on age, sex drive, health, stress levels, religion, and their internal relationship with their sexuality. Someone may have a very high sex drive and want to release 2 times a day, but shame or embarrassment keeps them from releasing but once a week.

For people with high sex drives, it is normal to ejaculate 1 or 2 times each day.

Very often, people feel ashamed of their desires for sexual release. Therefore, they might try to curb how often they orgasm. For others, they may feel strict religious or spiritual beliefs about sexual release.

The Taoist theorists, for example, have a very strict idea around how often a man should ejaculate. They believe each man should only ejaculate 20 to 30 percent of the time (2 or 3 times out of every 10 sessions). Ejaculation should occur no more than once every 20 days for men older than 50, and no more than once every 100 days for men older than 60. The Taoists believe when you release, you are letting the life force out.

27. Do I have a sex addiction if I ejaculate 2 times a day?

How often you orgasm is not a dependent factor in sex addiction. For instance, as long as you are able to complete your daily tasks, you are not putting yourself in harm’s way, you do not cancel or change plans to stay in the erotic space, you do not have a sex addiction.
